How to Make a Google Docs Folder. Google Docs is a wonderful, free text editor, and because it’s part of the Google ecosystem, it’s also a great way to work with other Google users quickly. But it’s crucial to be prepared when working in Google Docs. If you do, you could retain important documents and save time looking for things you could have found immediately.

In Google Docs, folders are useful for organizations. You can organize by workplace, idea, category, and more with them. But Google Docs can’t create folders on its own. So instead, you’re making them inside Google Drive.

In this manual, we’ll show you how to make a folder in Google Drive to manage your Google Docs.

You can make a folder in Google Docs from a document or go to your Google Drive to make a new folder. Both options take only a few steps, so which one is better relies on your preferences.
